Books that i like
- Ender's Game by Orson Scott Card
I love science fiction books, i'm not a huge redaer, i read about 3-7 books a year, I usually pick science fiction because they're so imaginative and consistently good, this one is so interesting, the fights, the games, the technology all make it so interesting and fun to read! The writing is surprisingly diverse in its tones and characters, lovely book.
- Ready Player One by Ernest Cline
Probably the neridest book of all time, sure it's edgy but it's well made. It really does feel like an adventure and goes in much darker places than you'd expect, much better than the movie (not to dismiss the movie because it's entertaining and well made).
- Children Of Time by Ardian Tchaichovsky ❤️
Probably my favourite book, it's so epic and expsnsive, journeying across thousands of years. Consistently engaging, from the start, to the middle, to the end. I love how it challenges the idea that "humans are the most important" unlike other science fiction books, by making us root for both isdes! So much inventive worldbuilding and so musch emotion in this!
- Scythe by Neal Shushterman
Another sort of dystopian book, it's one of those stories where, with the base idea, it's impossible not to make something interesting. I love all the characters, the deception, the intrigue, and the exception to the main rule of the story which makes the book so much more dramatic.
- Galapagos by Kurt Vonnegut
This book is absolutely wild, it's told sort of non-linearly but it keeps you attached, while it swings you around and makes you beg for mercy, and it manages to surprise you even when it spoils its own story, the story structure is completely, whack, everything is completely whack, but it's perfect.
- The Creative Act, A Way Of Being. by Rick Rubin
I haven't quite finished this but it's a sort of guide and suggestion book for being creative, so I've gotten enough ideas from it already that it's not something i need to finish anytime soon. This heavily inspired my upcoming album, Extra Lives, espescially when he talks about making rules for your art. Thanks rick!
- Flowers for Algernon by Daniel Keyes
A really good idea at it's core, with a much more emotionally focused plot than you'd expect. The main character is so so so well fleshed out it's crazy
- Holes by Louis Sachar
Greart story, well written, good characters.
- Lord Of The Flies by William Golding
Not done reading this yet, its a classic and from what i heard its a dark stire of adventure novels. Really good so far.
